A CUSTOM EXPERIENCE

Sleek, elevated and effortless, when you wear an OWN piece you are wearing something that has been handcrafted and impeccably cut by our team of skilled artisans in London.

MADE TO MEASURE BRIDAL

“Each made to measure OWN piece is a one off, it has never existed before and will never again. It is an edition of one, made especially for you.” Jess Kaye / Rosie Williams

Our made to measure bridal collection is custom made by hand in our London atelier by our team of dedicated artisans. Custom made means a bespoke pattern is cut each time to the exact measurements of the person it is being created for. Making our pieces in this way means that each and every one of them is completely unique, a one off, never to be made the same again.

This way of working is completely different to the standard industry model (which normally “makes to order.”) When you wear a piece from our made to measure collection you are wearing something impeccably crafted that has been handmade completely bespoke to you; no two styles will ever be the same.

The fact that everything is made to measure means you have complete freedom to tweak the design or fabrics before we start creating your outfits. If you are looking to customise elements of one of the pieces in our collection, there are two services available:

1 - SEMI BESPOKE

You may fall in love with one of our pieces but want to customise the shape or design details, for example change the neckline, lengthen the train, move a seam, cinch a waist, change the straps, raise or lower the back, or make a silhouette more a-line - the possibilities are endless! We love hearing your ideas and bringing your unique vision to life.

Our semi bespoke service allows you to make changes to existing designs with various fitting options available to you throughout the process. The cost for this service depends on the changes you are requesting, but we will always do our best to keep them as reasonable as possible.

2 - BESPOKE

Creating a custom look is an incredibly special experience. Every stitch, every fold, every special detail is considered and something that is totally unique to you. We take on a limited number of bespoke commissions each year as a phenomenal amount of work goes into crafting each and every piece; from the design through to production, we work with you every step of the way to bring your vision to life.

3 - FITTINGS

We recommend planning for a minimum of two fittings but you may need three (or more), depending on the style of the dress, requested design changes and the fit required. Having anything handcrafted and made to measure is a little more ‘involved’ than simply buying something ‘off the peg.’ That’s the beauty of it!

There is of course no obligation to have a fitting with us but customers do because they like that we manage the experience from beginning to end. No one knows our pieces better than us!

Your stylist will be able to give you guidance on this and recommend an approximate number of fittings at your first few appointments.

All fitting costs are inclusive of alterations.

EVENING WEAR

Every piece in our custom and ready to wear evening wear collection is hand cut and crafted in London by our incredible team.

Our ready to wear pieces are available in standard dress sizes and lengths so if required, you will need to organise alterations separately. We’ve partnered with SOJO to offer bespoke tailoring and repairs on a selection of our items, whether you’re buying them now or they’re already in your wardrobe. More information here.

Made to order means we only make something once a customer places an order. This helps to manage any wastage and is a much more sustainable approach to fashion. Each piece of fabric is cut individually and by hand, rather than using a machine block to cut several pieces at once. This also ensures it is impeccably crafted each time.

FABRICS

We are incredibly passionate about our fabrics and work with some of the oldest and most prestigious fabric houses in the world. Many of them are still small family run businesses based in Italy and France. We are extremely proud of our quality and craftsmanship; our passion for this sits at the heart of everything we do and it is what makes an OWN garment completely unique and innately luxurious.
