MEGHAN + RILEY

The story behind how former Vogue staffer Meghan found her dress is totally serendipitous. She says, "Right after getting engaged in Amsterdam, I saw a Vogue feature on a bride who wore OWN and then dyed her dress pink. After trying on a bunch of dresses in NYC, I couldn't get The OWN Studio look out of my head, and used a dress appointment in London as a great excuse to visit one of my best friends. When I tried the dress on, it was a done deal! I loved the scarf and detachable train - they made for so many easy transitions but impactful individual looks throughout the evening. It all felt effortlessly stunning. I paired the dress with classic Manolo slingbacks and my late mother's diamond earrings. I love how the dress I ended up choosing was the first one I screenshotted.

"We knew we wanted to have a city wedding as New York has been so much of the backdrop of our love story. Riley and I first met at University and dated for a bit but the timing wasn't right. We both ended up in NYC and rekindled from there.

"Since my time working in events at Goop, I have dreamed of what my wedding florals would look like. To get married within a garden felt like a total dream. When we saw the Brooklyn Botanic Garden we couldn't believe such a magical garden could exist within the beautiful chaos of NYC! We knew immediately we had to get married there. The venue definitely inspired the whimsy, pastels, and playful energy we incorporated into the rest of the wedding details.

"My brother married us under the willow tree. The moment after our ceremony where we just sat together, alone, and soaked up what had just happened was completely magic."
