The gothic architecture in this incredible church on the Upper West Side was the perfect setting for JULIA + ERIC's intimate New York wedding. Julia says, "We loved the history of the church. The nave was moody and romantic. It was massive for our 40-person guest list, but it somehow made the ceremony feel all the more intimate. For the reception, we rented out a cool French restaurant in the East Village."
On her outfit (and the experience of shopping for her dress online) Julia says, "I’m so particular with my style, and nothing I was seeing felt like me. I wanted something simple but cool. As soon as I saw STYLE 064, I knew that was my dress! A lot of people told me to choose a dress that I could try on first, but nothing else compared to this one. Because I was going more simple with my outfit, I decided I wanted something dramatic yet ethereal for my veil. The STYLE 099 veil was perfect and such a dream to wear.
"I am a flats girl, so I went with the Miu Miu satin ballerinas. My earrings are from Sophie Buhai, our wedding bands are Cartier.
"We didn’t do a first look or wait to see each other until the ceremony - we actually got ready together! He helped me get into my dress and put my veil and shoes on me. It felt very true to us to do it that way.
"And at the reception, seeing all of our friends and family in the same room was wild and so special. Eric and I felt so loved on the whole day"
