JASMIN + DANIEL

When you know it’s the one - it’s the one, even from 10,000 miles away. For Jasmin, STYLE 151 was THE dress. The only problem? She lives in Sydney, a mere 20 hour flight from the studio. Luckily, she followed her gut and booked a virtual appointment. She says, "I wanted something timeless but with an edge- something I could really make my own. I had a virtual appointment, and I could see straight away the quality of the material and the sleek, edgy designs are just perfection. The silk was perfect for a hot February day.

"For my veil, I knew I didn’t want a traditional tulle or lace-style veil; I had a vision for something intricate, beaded, with pearls- a little modern, a little unique. The hints of pearls in my veil and accessories matched beautifully with the sheen of the ivory silk dress, which has a subtle pearly quality to it - I loved it and it got so many compliments the whole night."

On their wedding, Jasmin and husband Daniel wanted a family filled affair, "We had a small ceremony at Sydney University, which has so many beautiful corners. Its history and architecture really drew us in. I also briefly studied there, so it felt like a full-circle moment.

"We wanted the day to have a European flare and pay homage to our heritage, as Daniel is Italian and I’m Croatian. It was important for us that the wedding was intimate and effortless — not overdone, just beautifully considered.

"One of my favourite moments was entering our reception hand-in-hand and being greeted by so much warmth, love, and, of course, many shots of Rakija! We had a Croatian band play traditional music, and dancing the kolo really brought everyone together, family and friends alike, and we didn’t stop for hours - my calves were on fire. It was such a joyful, communal moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the night."
