The ornate and theatrical aesthetic of the Royal Dramatic Theatre of Stockholm was the unique backdrop for Emma and Fredrik's wedding in August.
Emma says, "the historic interiors didn't require much added styling. Florals by a local florist were kept thoughtful and minimal. My bouquet's calla lilies and orchids were a nod to my mother, who carried orchids at her wedding. The overall floral theme remained simple and timeless, with a mixed palette of white and green.
"For the theme, we drew inspiration from our close connection to France. Our summers in our country house in Haut de Cagnes influenced the tone of the wedding, from the French menu and wine list to music with French references, including “La Vie en Rose” during the ceremony.
"I opted for a clean and simple wardrobe to keep the focus on the dress (my something new), The OWN's STYLE 148. On my feet I wore Sania D’Mina’s 'Elena' white leather shoes and earrings were Sophie Bille Brahe that was a previous gift from Fredrik (something old).
"I loved our ceremony. From entering the room hand in hand with both my parents, to live music and closely surrounded by all our loved ones. We had our wedding speeches during the ceremony, making this part of the day feel more personal and intimate. It was a beautiful way to lead into the ”I do” part and set the scene for a great party afterwards.
"We wanted a festive feeling from start to end with a big focus on food & drinks. We started the wedding with champagne before the ceremony. After the ceremony, we enjoyed drinks on the balcony with gin & tonic, dry martini, and negronis. Dinner was then served family-style, with a large sharing menu to create a relaxed energy"
