This summer, I had the joy of attending my sister Eve’s wedding — a beautiful, sun-drenched celebration in the English countryside. She wore a bespoke OWN gown: a corseted lace dress that Jess and I designed and hand-made in our atelier over many months.
Designing a wedding gown is always such a privilege, but creating a bespoke dress for my sister was an honour that will stay with me forever.
I wanted her gown to feel timeless yet deeply personal. We hand-applied delicate French lace to a bespoke corset sculpted perfectly to Eve’s body, letting it flow into a soft skirt with a dramatic train and scalloped edging. We also made a sheer detachable top that worked seamlessly with the bodice, giving her the versatility to change up the look after the ceremony — something I knew was really important to her.
Watching Eve walk down the aisle to marry James was an incredibly special moment. She was a vision, and I’ll never forget it. My two girls were flower girls and in awe of their Auntie.
Eve says, “As someone who dreamed about their wedding day from a young age, I always knew the dress would be one of the most magical parts — but what I didn’t know was that my sister would be the person creating it for me. After a lot of research my vision slowly came into focus, and the incredible team at OWN brought it to life in a way I didn’t think possible.
“From the very beginning of the bespoke journey, they approached every detail with such care, expertise, and precision. I felt truly heard at every stage, and the entire process was as seamless as it was special.
“From the delicate lace to the intricate hand-sewn details, my dress was more than I ever could have imagined. I felt so emotional wearing it, especially as I’d met each of the amazing women who had poured their hearts into making it for me.”
