Your dress collection booking reserves dedicated time for you to come and collect your beautiful piece from us. The appointment takes around 15 minutes. You will have the opportunity to try your outfit on, but please note this is not a fitting, so we won’t be able to pin, adjust, or offer technical alteration advice during this time.
Your outfit will be finished, steamed and wrapped in protective packaging and ready to take away in a garment bag, along with care instructions to help you look after it.
TRYING ON YOUR DRESS
You will be asked to try on your dress and look over it to confirm you’re happy with the construction and finish, and that there are no marks on the fabric. We recommend avoiding transferable makeup or jewellery and washing your hands upon arrival to minimise any risk of marking or damaging the fabric.
We ask that no food or drink is brought into the fitting room to ensure there is no risk of damage to the dress. We will provide water for you and your guests. Unfortunately, as much as we love them, dogs are not allowed in the space.
Once you're happy, you’ll be asked to sign a release form confirming the condition of your dress before taking it home.
AFTER COLLECTION
Once the dress has left the studio, we cannot accept responsibility for any damage that may occur before, during, or after your event. However, if your dress is damaged after collection, we will do our best to help with repairs. Please note:
Repair services are subject to atelier availability
Repair work is chargeable
We will always aim to provide a cost and time estimate before beginning any work
A NOTE ON ALTERATIONS
If your dress was altered with us
When you collect your dress, it will be finished to the specifications agreed during your alterations fitting and confirmed in your fitting notes email. If, at collection, you decide you’d like to make additional changes, these will be treated as new alterations and will be chargeable. A quote will be provided after your appointment based on the level of work required.
If your dress will be altered elsewhere
Your dress has been made in the closest size agreed and approved by you in your measurement contract. We strongly recommend booking a fitting with a trusted tailor to ensure the perfect fit.
Please note: This appointment is for collection only, not for fit assessment or alteration planning. The member of the team hosting your dress collection cannot provide alteration advice or pin the garment as they may not be a technical member of the atelier team.
