Harriet and Henry // and a very special dancing dress

Our wonderful bride Harriet came to us to find a slinky dancing dress for her English countryside wedding in July 2019. She already had her ceremony dress but wanted something relaxed and sleek for the evening that she could party the night away in. She chose STYLE 018, a bias cut slip cut from lustrous silk satin with a sexy open back. She opted for no train so she could move easily around the dance floor (we’re with you girl!). As you’ll see from the pictures below, Harriet looked incredible - we are especially obsessed with the video of her walking back into the venue after her evening dress change.

We asked Harriet to share a some of her top tips around planning a magical wedding, here’s what she said...

We had our wedding late Summer in 2019, on the August bank holiday. We were incredibly lucky to have a beautifully sunny day in the small village of Cookham Dean. We dressed a private field, just a couple minutes from the church, like a rustic village fete with games, a large flagged marquee, plenty of wild flowers and lots of hay bales! The evening brought festoon lighting down the pathway and a festival themed pizza van.

The secret to planning a great wedding is doing it exactly how you imagined, roping in lots of family and friends to help (each with their own unique skillsets!)

The best part of my wedding was the boys' speeches. Namely my husband Henry, but an incredibly special moment was my dad and my step dad sharing a stage and their different (but similar) memories of me.

The one thing I wish I’d known when planning my wedding is that times flies so quickly. You click your fingers and it’s 3am so savour every moment!

Besides the dress being so gorgeous, sleek and comfortable to dance in, Rosie and Jess made the buying experience just as enjoyable and comfortable too. I only wish I brought all the bridesmaid dresses from them too!
