OUR GO-TO SOURCES FOR COOL WEDDING INSPO

It’s been a tough few weeks for all of us. We’ve all heard that word ‘unprecedented’ a fair few times - but it really is like nothing we’ve ever experienced in our lifetime. In addition to the general life disruption, couples getting married this year have had the added stress of postponing their wedding - something you would never in a million years expect to do. 

 

One of the most challenging things about this whole situation is how much is outside our control. For those getting married this year, we’d recommend doing what you can to reassert that control; whether it’s postponing a few months or even to next year - do something that makes you feel like you’re back in the driver's seat.

 

Once you’ve done that, take some time to regroup and then start getting excited again - despite all of this, your wedding is still going to be one of the most amazing days of your life! To get back in the zone, why not revisit pages and people that inspire you? With this in mind, we’re sharing some of our favourite go-to accounts and websites, so they’re here when you’re ready.

 

1. LUST-WORTHY ACCESSORIES

Wedding jewellery doesn’t have to be trad. These pages (@earafterear and @at_a_clip) curated by Wallpaper* Digital Director and former Vogue writer Tilly Macalister-Smith are brimming with cool ideas. 2. RIDICULOUSLY COOL TABLESCAPES

The bridal industry can sometimes feel very trad but our friends over at anti-bride are the complete antithesis to anything ‘bridal’ - the clue’s in the name! We’ve been obsessed with their styling, aesthetic and tone for some time now. Scour their page for cool contemporary wedding inspo @_anti_bride 

 

5. GET THE GLOW

6. INSPIRING ILLUSTRATORS

While we are both fans of a minimalist invite, we also love how illustration can lend a really unique and personal look to wedding stationery. These are our go-to illustrators for inspiration: @thecartorialist, @susannahgarrod, @clymdraws. If you’re having a destination wedding, @ciao_chiara does gorgeous hand-painted illustrations inspired by her heritage and romantic Italian nostalgia, which we’re obsessed with.

 

7. HEAVENLY CAKES

We’re doing a fair bit of baking during lockdown but banana bread is probably the extent of our expertise. @ard_Bakery are the ones to watch when it comes to cool wedding cakes
