7 of London's best boutique pilates studios

23 JUNE 2026

Pilates strengthens your core, improves your posture and leaves you feeling calmer than when you started. As workouts go, few disciplines come close. Reformer - performed on a machine rather than the mat - has seen a huge surge in popularity across London, with women drawn to its particular combination of focus, precision and switching off.

When it comes to pre-wedding training, it’s a bridal favourite for multiple reasons. “Pilates is uniquely effective as a pre-wedding practice because it works deeply through the postural muscles, creating length, alignment, and a kind of refined strength that translates into how you carry yourself on the day,” says Sophie-Rose, owner of cult studio SR pilates.

“Rather than chasing intensity, it builds intelligent, balanced conditioning - supporting the spine, improving muscle tone, and enhancing the subtle details, like shoulder placement, that are so visible in photographs. It also becomes a sanctuary in the lead-up: your time to breathe, reset, and take care of yourself amidst all the excitement.”

These are our favourite spots in London for an exceptional pilates experience.
